At the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) held in Dubai from November 30 to December 13, 2023, Oyu Green actively participated in advancing global climate initiatives. The conference, which marked the conclusion of the first global stocktake under the Paris Agreement, brought together over 85,000 participants, including more than 150 Heads of State and Government.

Showcasing Sustainable Projects: The organization presented its successful initiatives, such as the Clean Cooking Himalayas project, which has equipped 100,000 households with energy-efficient cookstoves, reducing CO₂ emissions by over 220,000 tonnes annually.

Participation in Policy Dialogues: Oyu Green contributed to discussions on the operationalization of the new funding arrangements for responding to loss and damage associated with climate change impacts.

The conference achieved significant milestones, including:

Global Stocktake Completion: The first comprehensive assessment of global efforts to address climate change under the Paris Agreement was concluded, providing critical insights for future action.

Establishment of the Loss and Damage Fund: A new fund was operationalized to support vulnerable countries facing climate-induced losses and damages.

Commitments to Renewable Energy: Countries pledged to transition away from fossil fuels, with a focus on tripling renewable energy capacity by 2030.
